Any action related to this License will be governed by New Zealand law.

No choice of law rules of any jurisdiction will apply.

5. LIMITATION OF SUPPORT

If you are using the Software free of charge under the terms of this agreement, you are not entitled to support or telephone assistance.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OR MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Because of the various hardware and software environments into which DB Explorer may be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.

Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE.

7. HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES

The Software is not fault-tolerant and is not designed, manufactured or intended for use or resale as on-line control equipment in hazardous environments requiring fail-safe performance, such as in the operation of nuclear facilities, air traffic control, aircraft navigation or communication systems, direct life support machines, or weapons systems, in which the failure of the Software could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage ("High Risk Activities"). SLIK Software Ltd specifically disclaims any express or implied warranty of fitness for High Risk Activities.

8. DISTRIBUTION OF EVALUATION VERSION

Provided that you verify that you are distributing the evaluation version you are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the evaluation version of this software and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original evaluation version to anyone; and distribute the evaluation version of the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. There is no charge for any of the above.

Need some improvements but it` free...

Takes such a long time to copy 1000 rows to a file...but works for BLOB fields either.

ODBC View evaluation

This is an attractive program - but there are several ways it could be improved:-
1)Allow recent queries to be retrieved and run again
2)Automatically retrieve the "Information_schema" (if it exists) for a DSN - and display the tables that exist for the DSN

This program lets me verify the changes I've made to a table with another application.
This program lets me check the the columns in a remote table are set up in the way I've been told.
This program allows me to discover facts about a database.

The program helps by giving a clear display and allowing export to a CSV file

ODBC View Data Conversion

I used ODBC View to export data from a proprietary file system to CSV files that I then loaded into a MySQL database. The program is very fast and I discovered no errors in the results. It processed tables with 250,000 records very quickly. I am completely satisfied with it. But because it is so good, I wish it would give me the option of choosing the export field delimiter; instead of a comma, I would like to use tabs since some fields have embedded commas.

ODBC feedback

As a novice SQL user I found OBDC View very useful in validating SQL queries. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.

Recovering data from Sage

Did an excellent job of recovering the data I needed. I'll add this to my toolkit! Recommended. Copy and paste into export created an error but still a fantastic bit of kit and free to boot!!!

I'm very pleased with it. I guess that if we could operate it all by the keyboard would be super!
